George Munyua earned a bachelor of science degree in entrepreneurship and technology innovation from the University of Delaware in 2019, followed by a master of science in executive technology management from Columbia University, due in 2020. At UD, he was a member of the Lerner International Students Association.

When Covid-19 began to expose the gaping holes in the structures and systems of the world, entrepreneurship major Nico Repollé was presented with a unique opportunity to begin the work to build a more just and equitable society.

Daphne Vantine is an account executive at Wistia, a Massachusetts company that helps marketers make business more human by harnessing the power of video. She earned a bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship and technology innovation and integrated design in 2018. While at the University of Delaware, she was a member of the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority and participated in Horn Entrepreneurship’s VentureOn program.

With Summer Founders having wrapped up with the culmination of a virtual Demo Day, many of this summer’s teams are reflecting back to discover that the intensive 12-week pre-accelerator was just the beginning of their entrepreneurial journeys.

Avalon Greene is an account executive at NBC Universal Media, where she sells and executes marketing campaigns utilizing on-air, digital, social and on-the-ground tactics. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and entrepreneurship & technology innovation in 2018 from UD, where she co-owned Udwell, which connected off-campus housing owners with potential student renters, and co-founded Revive, a wardrobe-swapping app. She also participated in the Lerner Executive Mentoring Program, Horn’s VentureOn, the Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity, UDance, the Equestrian Team and a study abroad program in Spain.

Since graduating from the University of Delaware in 2017, Daniel Farmer has gone out into the world in ways others only hope they could. But from cycling across the United States to moving to Taiwan, Farmer’s mission has always been to uplift and empower communities.

Nina Price, a 2017 graduate with a degree in Organizational and Community Leadership and minors in Entrepreneurial Studies and International Business, left a lasting impact on Horn Entrepreneurship. Now, she leaves a lasting impact on the personal relationships she creates with her clients at Audley Travel. Price uses her extensive knowledge of Australia to create a personalized travel guide while using many of the lessons she learned at Horn.

Several students have been recognized for their continued entrepreneurial excellence and impact. These exemplary students demonstrate promise, leadership, and ability as entrepreneurs. We congratulate the winners and wish them continued success in their journey of entrepreneurship!
