When Covid-19 began to expose the gaping holes in the structures and systems of the world, entrepreneurship major Nico Repollé was presented with a unique opportunity to begin the work to build a more just and equitable society.

Mettā Creative co founder Davis Pfund grew up inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit, participating in the school fundraisers and finding odd jobs whenever possible from the young age of 11. Feeling confined by the structures of schools he attended, he struggled with authority and found himself in constant trouble.

This past spring’s Delaware Innovation Fellows Senior Showcase included 10 different innovation projects from students of the program’s first graduating class.

Since graduating from the University of Delaware in 2017, Daniel Farmer has gone out into the world in ways others only hope they could. But from cycling across the United States to moving to Taiwan, Farmer’s mission has always been to uplift and empower communities.

Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship, which is offered through the College of Education and Human Development, is a concentration in entrepreneurship that focuses on finding entrepreneurial solutions to social, cultural, and environmental issues.

Danielle Fisher, CEHD20, is making a splash in the world by bringing clean water systems to communities in need. As a human services major and a Delaware Innovation Fellow, Fisher’s entrepreneurial journey has, like a river, flowed from place to place, creating new channels as it moves.
