Spring is bringing the energy, and Pitch Party is bringing the ideas! On Wednesday, April 29, at 6 p.m. the Spring Pitch Party will transform the Venture Development Center into a Start Up Farmer’s Market of fresh ideas and fresh pitches. With student ventures showcased around the perimeter of the Co-Lab and live pitches taking center stage, this year’s event will feel like a farmers market for entrepreneurship: full of fresh thinking, creative concepts, and founders ready to put their ideas out into the world. The fifth annual Ratcliffe Eco Entrepreneurship Fellows (REEF@UD) Demo Day is quickly approaching! On Monday, May 4, from 4-7 p.m. at the Venture Development Center, a variety of student teams will take the stage in front of expert judges to pitch their original, clever new solutions that push to innovate and fight against pressing environmental challenges.  Please register to attend by April 30.

The final round of Hen Hatch featured four teams with widely divergent concepts: straws that change color to discreetly reveal spiked drinks, an app for women to manage chronic health conditions, a clothing line that supports animal shelters and autonomous robots that look for leaks in water lines.

Four teams advanced to the final round of Hen Hatch, UD’s premier startup funding competition, at the 2025 Blue Hen Innovation Fest on December 4. These finalists will compete to find out how much of the $50,000 prize pool will help them advance their ventures.

The Entrepreneurship Club’s Fall Pitch Party knocked it out of the park on Wednesday, October 22, bringing rookie pitchers and seasoned innovators together for an evening of high-energy ideas, cheering fans, and cash prizes.

The fourth annual Ratcliffe Eco Entrepreneurship Fellows (REEF@UD) Demo Day is just around the corner! On Monday, May 5, from 4–7 p.m. at the Venture Development Center, nine student teams will take the stage to pitch their bold, sustainability-focused ventures to a panel of expert judges.

UD Entrepreneurship Club and Horn Entrepreneurship present: The Spring Pitch Party – an open call for big ideas, budding founders, and the UD community to come together for a fun, fast-paced night of innovation.

On February 26, 2025, more than 200 high school students from across the mid-Atlantic gathered at Rutgers University for the 2025 EntreX Regional Venture Showcase. These aspiring entrepreneurs pitched their startup ideas to a panel of expert judges, competing for $500 and a spot to compete in Diamond Challenge finals at the prestigious 2025 Limitless World Summit.

Four teams competed in the final round of Hen Hatch, UD’s premier startup funding competition, and all four won thousands of dollars from a panel of judges – plus $2,500 for travel expenses to other competitions and often time with consultants.
