Spring is bringing the energy, and Pitch Party is bringing the ideas! On Wednesday, April 29, at 6 p.m. the Spring Pitch Party will transform the Venture Development Center into a Start Up Farmer’s Market of fresh ideas and fresh pitches. With student ventures showcased around the perimeter of the Co-Lab and live pitches taking center stage, this year’s event will feel like a farmers market for entrepreneurship: full of fresh thinking, creative concepts, and founders ready to put their ideas out into the world. Fresh Ideas Welcome
Whether you are testing out a new idea or just want to see what your peers are building, Pitch Party is the perfect place to jump in. This event is designed for students who are new to pitching. All you need is an idea and you get 90 seconds to share it. Pitch solo or as a team, get feedback from a panel of young UD entrepreneurial alumni, and learn what it is like to present in front of a live audience in a supportive, high-energy setting.
Grow Your Idea and Win Cash
Students selected to pitch will compete for cash prizes and startup resources, with up to $300 in prizes available. The prize breakdown includes:
1st Place: $300 cash
2nd Place: $200 cash
3rd Place: $100 cash
Topical awards will also be handed out for standout pitches, including: Most Creative, Most Promising, Most Interesting, Most Motivated, and Funniest Pitch. In addition, every student who pitches will receive a $20 gift card.
