And a New York best selling author can't write a proper story. Even how innovators can’t innovate. The answer is no, you haven't noticed this at first glance. People like that are talented, decorated, high status individuals who are enchanting through the eyes of others. But unfortunately, not to themselves. Even the best of the best may feel inadequate. No matter the great things someone achieves, there is a lingering voice that makes you feel like all those accomplishments don't matter because you aren’t actually deserving. 

Horn Entrepreneurship at the University of Delaware is pleased to unveil a dynamic shift in the application process for our esteemed Entrepreneurship Awards and Scholarships. Departing from traditional essays, the new modernized approach seeks to streamline the process for students while providing a better assessment through the eyes of our newly implemented selection committee, composed of Horn Entrepreneurship faculty and staff. Applications are now open until March 10.

This year, the UD Alfred Lerner College welcomed several new faculty members into its community. Tomé Salgueiro is an assistant professor of social innovation and entrepreneurship; he spoke with Lerner about his research focus and why he chose to join the University of Delaware.

Embarking on the quest for a new natural skincare brand can indeed be a daunting task, as the array of options can be overwhelming. The challenge often lies in deciphering the lengthy list of ingredients on the back of  product labels, with some names sounding like a foreign language. Finding a natural skincare brand can often be challenging, but look no further. Arima Skincare, created by Arielle Mahugu, is a natural skincare brand that won second place in the Pitch Party last fall.  Arielle is a freshman medical diagnostics pre-med student who has a passion for skincare since discovering the harmful chemicals that many brands include in their products.

As he sat in class listening to the lecture, Nicholai Williamson was taken aback. The native of Jamaica had been drawn to the University of Delaware in part because of the strength of its entrepreneurship programs, and now his entrepreneurship instructor was saying that the sooner he failed, the better.

The Horn Hen of the Month article series is a series dedicated to highlighting Horn students who are inspiring others and impacting their community. One nominated Horn student will be chosen each month and a written feature will document their hard work and progress as they go through their time at Horn, within our community, and beyond.
