The Alfred Lerner College of Business & Economics is a historical and esteemed college at the University of Delaware with 17 undergraduate majors from entrepreneurship to accounting to hospitality industry management. Their 2024 convocation ceremony was held Friday, May 24th at Delaware Stadium bright and early in the morning. Students and faculty from each major celebrated the end of a journey and the anticipation for a new journey in business. For Lerner’s entrepreneurship students, Horn hosted the 2024 Bubble & Bites graduation party of the VDC promptly after the convocation ceremony for them and their family to attend.
Everyone came together to celebrate great feats and achievements that these students have made. The Class of 2024 is brimming with talent and ambition and these specific future business leaders are nothing short of that. From full startup launches, securing thousands of dollars in funding, and creating future empires from a simple random idea, all the milestones in their academic journey deserve to be honored.
As graduates and families rolled in, they had the opportunity to commemorate the moment with a group photo. After photographs and greetings, the graduates, families, friends, and faculty got to mingle with each other with hors d'oeuvres in one hand and some bubbly in the other. After some time Dan Freeman, with the help of graduates Isabella Durante and Emile Delaye unveiled the Class of 2024 plaque with student names that will remain in the VDC for years to come.
As the Bubble and Bites grad party came to a close, the room remained buzzing with excitement and inspiration. The party not only celebrated the hard work and achievements of our entrepreneurial graduates but also highlighted the bright futures that lie ahead. With their innovative ideas and unwavering determination, these graduates are poised to make a significant impact in the business world. As glasses were raised one last time, it was clear that this was not just an end, but the beginning of countless new ventures and success stories. Here's to the Class of 2024—may their entrepreneurial spirit continue to shine brightly!
