Horn Entrepreneurship

Top 5 Reasons to Enroll in ENTR253

With fall enrollment quickly approaching, Horn Entrepreneurship encourages students to have one course, ENTR/LEAD253: Individual Leadership - Building a Foundation for Success, on their radar. A foundational entrepreneurship course, ENTR253 offers an experience to first lead yourself as you embark on a lifetime of leading others. But the course also comes with many other perks that you may not know about!

  1. Gain eligibility for the Siegfried Entrepreneurial Leadership Fellows (SELF) program!
ENTR253 is a prerequisite for SELF, a highly selective, year-long leadership education opportunity to expand horizons, explore specific leadership topics, and implement leadership knowledge and skills.
  2. Build a strong entrepreneurial leadership foundation
Develop the mindset, habits, character ethic, and capabilities needed to have the leadership initiative that will improve and provide value to your life and the lives of others.
  3. Do something meaningful
After completing both ENTR253 and joining SELF, take action in a real-world project, make an impact on campus by taking up a leadership role, and access exclusive conference and workshop opportunities!
  4. Join a network of leaders
Grow in leadership skills with a close-knit community of fellow students and mentors with whom you will continue to deepen connections with, throughout both your academic and professional careers.
  5. Engage outside of the classroom
Starting in January, SELF is a chance to engage in an external leadership experience during the program year, and participants will also have additional travel opportunities available!
