For anyone who missed our introductory article on the new Horn Ambassadors, they are a group of students chosen to represent the Horn Entrepreneurship Program. These students serve as a go-between for prospective entrepreneurship students, help out at events at the Venture Development Center, and build a sense of community wherever they go.
Meet the Horn Ambassadors
Isabella Duarte ‘24 is an Entrepreneurship major with a minor in Jewish Studies.
Her favorite aspect of being a Horn Ambassador is getting to meet prospective students and inform them about the incredible opportunities, education, faculty, and students that Horn has to offer. She also enjoys getting to learn and laugh with her team of Ambassadors.
The most important lesson that she has learned at Horn is that everyone has a story in entrepreneurship. Everyone has their own individual struggles, and many people choose different paths from their peers, or even different paths than they initially thought they would take. However, at the end of the day, entrepreneurs are just looking to keep learning and keep changing the world.
Sakhee Desai is a freshman in the Honors College, double majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship with a Computer Science minor.
She loves the connections that she has been able to make with all types of people at Horn, and the fact that upperclassmen are always willing to lend some of their time and knowledge to the newcomers.
The most influential lesson that she has learned so far has been to be proactive and take initiative. Opportunities don’t usually fall into your hands, so being a go-getter is important.
