The University of Delaware youth entrepreneurship summit, Summit, provides a unique three day conference experience for high school students interested in entrepreneurship. The conference has been ranked as a must-attend event for young entrepreneurs. This year, the Summit theme is A World Made By You and will include a new feature, the Made by You Market, offering items created by young entrepreneurs. The market will provide a forum for ideas and discussion all driven by young entrepreneurial leaders from around the world. It serves as a wealth of networking and learning opportunities for everyone who attends.

“I am excited for our UD brand ambassador team to attend and rep eff.Y.bee at the fair!” said Alyssa Kuchta of eff.Y.bee jewelry, a startup that sells semi-precious stone jewelry with inspiring meanings. “It will be a great experience for them to market and sell our line while also getting a chance to meet and network with all of the young entrepreneurs in attendance.”

Kuchta graduated from the University of Delaware in 2011 and has found success with her jewelry startup. “Entrepreneurship has pushed me beyond my comfort zone, helped me grow as a person, and brought so many amazing opportunities and people into my life I would've never had otherwise,” said Kuchta as she reflected on how her business has impacted her life. “I love being able to build something from my mind and heart and see other people positively impacted by it and love it too, it’s the best feeling!”

Isaiah Swift, a young entrepreneur himself, will also be participating in the Made by You Fair. Swift connected with the Diamond Challenge through Next Gen, proving the far reaching community pull of the conference.

“I am very excited to attend the fair!” said Swift. “I love the idea of networking with other entrepreneurs and having the opportunity to support them as well as showcase my talent.” Swift plans to sell copies of his forthcoming book with a title release imminent. “Entrepreneurship has impacted my life in a tremendous way because I have control of my future. I don't have to rely on anyone else in order to be successful, I now have the drive and experience to produce results!”

The Made by You Market will take place throughout the conference and provide attendees the opportunity to interact with successful entrepreneurs and explore their creations. Those interested in exploring the Market should be prepared with cash. Semifinalists are welcome to participate in the Market and sell their creations. Anyone interested in attending Summit as a vendor should email info@diamondchallenge.org with a two sentence description of their product.
