Horn Entrepreneurship rolled out the welcome mat for the Class of 2029 with the Ignite! early move-in program, a three-day adventure designed to make the first days on campus unforgettable. From move-in boxes to backyard games, students got a true taste of Blue Hen life and the entrepreneurial spirit that defines Horn.
After unpacking, students jumped right into community building. The night featured the Ignite! Ambassador Kick-Off, lively rounds of Mingle & Bingo, a high-energy game of 4 Corners, and a late-night session of Crafts & Games. It was the perfect mix of fun and friendship to kick things off.
Friday blended learning with laughter. After breakfast and group introductions, students participated in a Psychological Safety Workshop and explored Warner and Laurel Halls. Games like Jeopardy and a Scavenger Hunt kept the momentum going, while Hot Seat and lunch with faculty encouraged deeper conversations. The afternoon sparked creativity with Vision Boards and camaraderie during Backyard Games. The day ended with smiles, closing remarks, and gift cards.
The final morning began with breakfast and a regroup before jumping into Family Feud, a crowd favorite. Students separated a bit for the DIF Orientation and ENTR Activity, capping off three days of new experiences. Closing remarks sent the group off with excitement for the semester ahead.
Ignite! is more than an early start. It’s about community, confidence, and connection. By the end of the weekend, students weren’t just moved in; they were moved forward, ready to learn, grow, and make their mark at UD.
Welcome, Horn’s Class of 2029—the adventure has only just begun!
