VeniPD Diagnostics, Bioscience Grant
Blue Hen Proof of Concept team VeniPD Diagnostics, comprised of Zhihao Zhuang and Prajwal Paudel, and with help from Derek Lehane, recently won a $100K bioscience grant to further support their research and implementation process for an affordable early-stage diagnostic for Parkinson's Disease.
PressFlex Knee, VentureWell
PressFlex Knee, spearheaded by Andrew Dirks, successfully completed Phase I of the VentureWell E-Teams program and have moved onto Phase II, unlocking a $20,000 for use in research.
Regenium Energy
Wes Connor and Dr. Ajay Prasad of Regenium Energy have received a $50,000 I-Corps grant to further explore the applications of their innovative technology that aids in the reuse and revival of multi-chemistry batteries.
Soft Ankle Foot Orthosis Using Dielectric Elastomer Actuator (DEAFO)
Samuel Lee and Ahad Behboodi of DEAFO have received a $50,000 I-Corps grant to aid in the development of a lightweight, noiseless orthotic device for those struggling with ankle control issues.
Adolescent Comprehension Assessment (ACE)
The reading comprehension assessment ACE, worked on by Mary Jean Tecce DeCarlo, Alia, Ammar, Lori Severino and Paul Edelblut, has received a $50,000 I-Corps grant.

Student Startup Madness
360VR, a virtual reality and security startup, spearheaded by James Massaquoi and Suryansh Gupta, is among 64 college student startups competing at the Student Startup Madness competition. 360VR was born at a Horn Entrepreneurship Pitch Party before being further developed in VentureOn and Startup eXperience II.
Faculty
Christina Pellicane, Manager, Commercialization Programs, has been named Chair of the Startup Business Development Course for the Association of University Technology Managers. The course focuses on helping startups, and those involved in building them, improve their odds of success.
