1. Will my credits transfer?
Students will have a University of Delaware transcript of course “ENTR101 Entrepreneurial Experience” for 3 credits. This course is likely to be viewed by many universities as comparable to an intro to entrepreneurship course, or accepted as a free elective. The transferability of the course credit is ultimately determined by the receiving institution.
In past years, students have successful transferred the course to the following institutions: American University, Boston University, Bucknell University, Indiana University, Lehigh University, Penn State University, Muhlenberg College, Saint Joseph’s University, Tennessee University, and University of Pittsburgh. It is likely additional institutions have accepted it but have not provided formal verification.
2. How would this course work towards a degree at the University of Delaware?
The course credits will count as a free elective in the Entrepreneurship major (or any other major at UD). It could also be applied to count as 1-3 of the 9-10 credits required for 4 of the 7 entrepreneurship-related certificates UD offers – all 7 of which are listed under academic
programs on the Horn website.
3. What is the cost of this course?
Tuition for the course is $500. Need-based scholarships are available and can be requested when a student completes this form. Please confirm with your school and the EntreX team regarding any specific arrangements (grants, scholarships, etc.) for your school.
4. What is the cost savings of taking this course for credit while in high school?
Nonresident cost for a three-credit course is $4899, so this course is a $4399 savings. Delaware resident cost for a three-credit course is $1824, or a $1324 savings. savings.
