Meet the next group of ambassadors in the fourth installment of the series!

Brianna Kaplan

Junior Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation majorBiggest Takeaway from being an Ambassador: My biggest takeaway from the Ambassador Program is that anyone can benefit from an entrepreneurial education. I find that when i talk to prospective students about their interests, I can always find a way to tailor entrepreneurship to them and show them that it can pair well with what they want to study.

Favorite Thing about Being an Ambassador: I love that I represent Horn on campus and at university events. It gives me a chance to tell my story about my own experiences within this program to prospective students and parents. It gives them a firsthand look of how Horn impacts its students on a day to day basis.

Other groups/activities you’re involved with on campus: Delaware Innovation Fellows, Venture On

Brianna Bannach

Senior Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation major with a minor in Social Entrepreneurship

Biggest Takeaway from being an Ambassador: My biggest takeaway has been learning how to cater to the wants of the prospective student. It has been a great way to practice important selling skill like active listening, asking good questions, telling stories and tailoring my messaging to each unique student.

Favorite Thing about Being an Ambassador: My favorite thing is helping the prospective students find their right fit. With so many offerings it is easy to find something they could benefit from at Horn, but even if nothing works for their interests it is rewarding to help them with their decision about Delaware.

Other groups/activities you’re involved with on campus: Intervarsity, VentureOn

CARLOS BENITO

Sophomore Biological Sciences major with a minor in Spanish StudiesBiggest Takeaway from being an Ambassador: My biggest takeaway from this program has been the lasting impact my interactions have had on future college students. Knowing that you helped inform their decisions no matter where they choose has been a very fulfilling experience for me.

Favorite Thing about Being an Ambassador: My favorite part about being a Horn ambassador is learning about the interests of the people on my tours or at my table. Understanding their goals and how they want to go about achieving them gives me a new perspective on my own life goals.

Other groups/activities you’re involved with on campus: People for Puerto Rico and Pre-Soma

Check back next Thursday for the final installment in the ambassadors series!
