Things to do in Bangkok
Enjoy the cultural center and the capital city of awe-inspiring Thailand. The city is full of culture, wondrous views, and plenty to do. With a safety index of 49, matching the mark of the Bahamas, the city is quite safe for travel, according to Travel Safe - Abroad.
The Ayutthaya Historical Park is a common tourist destination due to its breath-taking sights. The Park is home to the ruins and restorations of temples and palaces dating back to 1350 when the Kingdom was established. Tickets can be purchased for around $40 each in small groups, but prices rise as the group number falls.
In the same price range of around $40 one can take a relaxing White Orchid Dinner Cruise on the Chao Phraya River. Enjoy authentic Thai food, live music, and constant opportunities for photos such as the Grand Palace and the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun).
Bangkok also offers many sights and opportunities that don’t break the bank. Enjoy the view of the Chao Phraya River, or take a walk through Lumpini Park where you can partake in Thai Chi or just enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.
Furthermore, enjoy the nightlife, zoos, mansions, and puppet shows around the city. Immerse yourself in Thai culture by enjoying the Durian, a common fruit in the area, or by watching some live kickboxing known as Muay Thai, which is the national sport of Thailand.
Bangkok offers public transportation in most areas of the city, and sky trains or motorcycle taxis provide quick options to beat the congested city traffic. With cruises, food tours, and even an opportunity to see elephants, tourists in Thailand have many options at their fingertips and rarely struggle to find entertainment.
