University of Delaware's Horn Entrepreneurship invites applicants to UD’s National Science Foundation Innovation Corps Sites Program (NSF I-Corps Sites). Applications for the 11^th cohort are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16.

The big ol’ Summit is coming up! The Summit, brought to you by the amazing people who run the Diamond Challenge, is totally focused on youth and entrepreneurship and providing a unique and life changing experience to any aspiring high school entrepreneur. University of Delaware Horn Entrepreneurship Masters student Garry Johnson ran a successful second year of his I Have a Dream Pitch Competition. The event is designed to empower young men and boys of color in the city of Wilmington through entrepreneurship to inspire confidence and improve problem solving skills. 

University of Delaware’s Horn Entrepreneurship is pushing their blog out of the shadows and into the public eye! The blog is designed to keep students, faculty and the community at large up to date on events, opportunities, awards and a myriad of other milestones attached to the organization.

Hen Hatch is University of Delaware’s premier startup funding competition for students, alumni, faculty and staff. It provides the opportunity to make connections, collect feedback on ideas and build your passion all while competing for in-kind services and a prize pool of $100,000.

One student’s Hen Hatch experience led to greater opportunities of growth. Danilo Vicioso, Economics major with a minor in Entrepreneurial Studies and Founder of Influencia, began his Hen Hatch experience a year before actually submitting to the 2017 competition, according to Vince Di Felice, Assistant Professor of Practice, Manager of Venture Support.

With the full support of the Department of Business Administration faculty, Horn Entrepreneurship’s Vincent Di Felice, Manager of Venture Support, has been awarded a secondary appointment as Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Business Administration in the Lerner College of Business and Economics.

University of Delaware alumna Amira Idris recently represented the United States at the eighth annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in Hyderabad, India.

Recent University of Delaware alumna, Amira Idris, received a $20,000 grant from VentureWell’s Entrepreneur Team (E-Team) Program to aid in funding her startup, TheraV.
