The University of Delaware youth entrepreneurship summit, Summit, provides a unique three day conference experience for high school students interested in entrepreneurship. The conference has been ranked as a must-attend event for young entrepreneurs. This year, the Summit theme is A World Made By You and will include a new feature, the Made by You Market, offering items created by young entrepreneurs.

Twelve teams from the student track and 10 teams from the alumni, faculty and staff track are advancing to the semifinal round of the University of Delaware’s 2018 Hen Hatch startup funding competition.

A series of workshops will be offered for high school entrepreneurs at this year’s Diamond Challenge Youth Entrepreneurship Summit (the Summit), which will take places between April 11 and 13 at the University of Delaware’s Clayton Hall.

University of Delaware Horn Entrepreneurship is accepting nominations for undergraduate student entrepreneurship awards and scholarships totaling almost $10,000 in cash and VDC credit. Applications will be accepted March 6 through March 26, 2018. Details on the awards, submission requirements and a link to the application are available at www.udel.edu/horn. Students from all majors are invited to apply.

The University of Delaware Horn Entrepreneurship spring pitch party will be held at the Venture Development Center from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14. Undergraduate students from any college may pitch but any UD student, faculty or staff, may watch. The event is free but to pitch or attend you must register.

Founder and Executive Director of ScholarCHIPS, Yasmine Arrington will serve as one of the keynote speakers at this year’s Diamond Challenge Youth Entrepreneurship Summit (the Summit) on April 12 at the University of Delaware’s Clayton Hall.

The Summit provides a three day conference experience that focuses on youth entrepreneurs from around the world. High school students in attendance will be able to meet competitors from across the world, grow with other likeminded and motivated youth and hear from seasoned and successful entrepreneurs.

University of Delaware faculty are invited to the UD IDEA Network Third Thursday Faculty Social from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 15, at the Venture Development Center (VDC).

This program features UD faculty and an industry representative discussing challenges and opportunities related to the process of “making”. 

The University of Delaware Horn Entrepreneurship VentureOn program is accepting applications for the spring 2018 semester. The program provides students working on startup ideas with resources, Venture Development Center access and support from successful entrepreneurial mentors.

University of Delaware's Horn Entrepreneurship invites applicants to UD’s National Science Foundation Innovation Corps Sites Program (NSF I-Corps Sites). Applications for the 11^th cohort are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16.
