Horn Entrepreneurship and eClub will host the 2022 Spring Pitch Party. A hybrid format will take place, with the event as in-person for those registering as presenters. The larger audience of spectators will remain virtual. It all takes place on March 23, from 6 - 8 p.m.
Spectators joining on Zoom will benefit from a door prize give-away, with prizes available the next day at the Venture Development Center. Spectators must register early to qualify.
The Spring Pitch Party is an event hosted each semester in which undergraduate students pitch a startup idea in 90 seconds for a new business, innovation or invention in a fun and relaxed atmosphere that will not only give them feedback, but also help them further their ideas. The panel of judges are recent Horn Entrepreneurship alumni.
We strongly encourage undergraduates to register as a presenter who may be new to pitching or has a new idea to present. Presenter spots are filled on a first come, first served basis, so register as soon as possible to secure your spot.
New this semester for presenters, and others interested, two special eClub meetings. How to Create a Pitch on March 15, 6-7 p.m. and Present your Practice Pitch and receive feedback on March 22, 6-7 PM. Both are in time for the Spring Pitch Party.

- Optional- eClub workshops at the VDC 3/15 and 3/22 both 6-7 p.m

Who is eligible to pitch?
All undergraduate students from any major and college are welcome to pitch, and graduate students are allowed to participate in a team, including undergraduate students. However, graduate students may not present, they may only answer questions posed by the judges.
Who is eligible to watch?
All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to watch as UD students pitch innovative ideas for a chance to bring their proposals to a larger stage. The last opportunity to receive a Zoom link is to register by 2/23 at 5:30 p.m.
Where is the Pitch Party held?
The Fall Pitch Party will be held on Zoom this semester, but will be broadcast to the audience from the Venture Development Center.
What do the winning ideas receive?
Three winners of a single track will share the prize pool of $1,500. Winners of the night’s topical prizes will be awarded gift cards for their accomplishment.
Why is it called a party?
It’s supposed to be fun and low key. It is the premiere opportunity for students new to pitching or in the early stages of idea development to help refine their pitch and practice. The judges are a panel of alumni who have been in the pitchers’ shoes. The feedback they give helps improve the students’ ideas.
Not ready for the Pitch Party?
That’s ok. Register to watch and see how it goes. The next Pitch Party will be held in the fall 2022 semester. Mark your calendar for late October.
