Fourteen teams advanced to the semifinal round of Hen Hatch, UD’s premiere startup funding competition. Three semifinalists from each track (pre- and post-revenue) will advance to the 2022 Hen Hatch Final Round which will take place on Dec. 1 at the Audion. Rewards of startup cash and prizes will total $50,000 with additional in-kind gifts. 

#### Semifinalists in the pre-revenue track:

**AgreenTech**

Sarah Megivern, MFA, Class of 2024

Agreentech is a science-driven material technology company that develops advanced antibacterial and deodorant products, such as deodorant insole/shoes, antibacterial yoga mats etc, to improve the quality of human life.

 

**BonaFyde**

[Nicholai Williamson](https://www.instagram.com/_niiicho/), Entrepreneurship, Class of 2025

An app that enables two way communication between real college students and high schoolers through social media style feed and direct messaging to give the high schoolers real insight into the actual way of life of a college before they get there.

 

**Cooking Closer**

Chloe Terrell, Art Conservation, Class of 2026

An on-campus commissary-style kitchen space, featuring professional chef assistance, pay by weight groceries, and comfortable dining atmosphere

 

**Dear Volunteer**

Isabella Duarte, Entrepreneurship, Class of 2024

Emilie Delaye, Entrepreneurship, Class of 2022

Ashley Barnas, Grad PMBA, Class of 2023

Dear Volunteer is a website platform designed for volunteers to find, filter and sign up for volunteering opportunities and for charities to spread awareness and gain volunteers.

 

**Little Bob Technologies**

We provide a crowd-investment app for low and middle income community-based solar projects.

 

**The Oehling Foundation**

Gavin Scarantine, Entrepreneurship, Class of 2025

The Oehling Foundation is a 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit organization that assists families in the search for their missing loved ones.

 

**Ploriun**

Jinay Jain, Computer Science, Class of 2023

Plorium is a cohort-based platform for curating the internet’s best learning resources.

 

**VizIt**

Michael Guigliano, Business Analytics, Class of, 2023

VizIt is a mobile, data visualization platform for staying informed with politics and the economy.

 

**V/SUP**

Aidan Moffa, Entrepreneurship, Class of 2024

To create the world's best personalized and customizable pre-workout formulas for drinks that enhance anyone's results who work out

 

**Vth Clip**

Taiwo Owens, International Business (MS), Class of 2023

Vth Clip is an innovative formal wear company that designs specially crafted tie clips.

Plant-based gummy candy that utilizes compostable packaging for people that have dietary restrictions such as vegan, allergies, gluten-intolerance, etc or just want a cleaner way to enjoy candy.

 

**Skip Rope**

A B2B2C mobile application that helps bars & nightclubs capture additional value from their most high value customers.

 

**STEM So(ul)cial**

N'Dea Irvin-Choy, Biomedical Engineering (PhD), Class of 2023

STEM So(ul)cial is a hybrid style community for Black people in STEM.

 

Semifinalists have 7 minutes to pitch and a 5 minute Q&A session with judges. Semifinals will take place without an audience. Following each presentation, teams have mentoring sessions with seasoned entrepreneurs and industry professionals.
