Entrepreneurship Award Winners Announced

Horn Entrepreneurship recognized eight University of Delaware undergraduate students with awards and scholarships totaling more than $10,000. The awards honor innovative and entrepreneurial students throughout the university.

 Outstanding Senior Awards - $500

The Outstanding Senior Awards are presented to entrepreneurship majors who have applied the skills taught in the major to positively impact Horn Entrepreneurship and other University of Delaware students. 

This year’s recipients are Jason Bangser, entrepreneurship and marketing double major, class of 2022; Caitlyn Tobio, entrepreneurship and management info systems double major, class of 2022; Madison Topczewski, entrepreneurship major and advertising minor, class of 2022 (winter); Markos Zerefos, entrepreneurship and finance double major, class of 2021 (fall).

2022 Horn Award - $1,500

The Horn Entrepreneurship Award is funded by annual gifts from the faculty who teach ENTR-designated courses. The award is granted to a student from any UD college or degree program who has taken at least one ENTR course, demonstrates exemplary entrepreneurial promise and will realize an immediate benefit from the receipt of the $1500 award. The Horn Award is funded by annual gifts from the faculty who teach ENTR-designated courses.

This year’s recipient is Anthony Denney, entrepreneurship and marketing double major, class of 2023. 

Brad & Jennifer Bono Award - $2,000

The Brad and Jennifer Bono Award is granted to an undergraduate student from any UD college, in any major, who demonstrates entrepreneurial leadership and social impact.  

This year’s recipient is Isabella Duarte, entrepreneurship major and Jewish studies minor, class of 2024.

Shawn & Sheryl McCall Awards for Entrepreneurship - $2,500

Two McCall Awards for Entrepreneurship are granted to undergraduate students from any UD college, in any major, who show entrepreneurial promise. 

This year’s recipients are Carlos Benito, biological sciences major and entrepreneurship minor, class of 2023, and  Lynn Roberts, management info systems major and entrepreneurship minor, class of 2024.
