Learn about the Diamonds that make the competition possible

In a record-breaking year, the Diamond Challenge 2020 engaged more than 5,000 students from 55 countries and 32 states. With 29 Pitch Event Partners and 17 Student Advisory Board Members, the competition's reach continued to soar. At the final stage of the competition experience, 73 semifinalists, the top 9.5% of participants, were chosen to showcase their talents on the global Diamond Challenge stage. The Summit experience culminated in a two-hour awards ceremony. See how the virtual event unfolded.

Business Innovation

Astrofilter

First Place: Astrofilter (USA, North Carolina)

Astrofilter is a self-cleaning filter designed to remove debris from spacecraft ventilation systems, increasing the efficacy of CO₂ removal units.

Fision Lens

Second Place: Fision Lens (USA, Illinois)

Fision is a thin, film-like plastic that adheres directly onto the surface of existing glasses lenses to make prescription updates.

Ditch Dat!

Third Place: Ditch Dat! (USA, Hawaii)

Ditch Dat’s novel, patent-pending pediculicide (headlice treatment) invention kills headlice and headlice eggs in a safe, effective, affordable and eco-friendly manner.

inGeniusLearn is a comprehensive software application that hyper-personalizes education with real-time confusion detection and immediate student feedback.

EZ Water

Third Place: EZ Water (Pakistan)
