For Aidan Moffa, class of 2024, entrepreneurship didn’t stop at graduation, it evolved. Aidan, who majored in Entrepreneurship with a minor in Professional Selling & Sales Management, is now applying his entrepreneurial mindset every day as a sales engineer at Keyence Corporation, a leading provider of automation and sensing technology. From owning his own territory to exploring the potential of AI in business, Aidan brings energy, adaptability, and initiative to everything he does.

A milestone summer for entrepreneurship at UD culminated on August 14 with Demo Day, where the 10th cohort of Summer Founders shared their ventures with the community.

August marks the unofficial start of the back-to-school season. There’s excitement, but there’s also stress as parents shop for fall clothing for their children. How expensive is it going to be? Will the clothing last? What if kids hit a growth spurt or have a change of opinion about a particular brand or style?

From pitching bold ideas as a high schooler in the EntreX dual enrollment program to launching ventures through Horn’s startup programs and now driving impact as an intrapreneur within a legacy nonprofit, Lynn Roberts, Class of 2024, has experienced the full arc of Horn Entrepreneurship.

After 12 weeks of building, testing, pitching, and growing, 19 student-led ventures are ready to take the stage. Horn Entrepreneurship invites you to join us for the 2025 Summer Founders Demo Day on Thursday, August 14, where this year’s cohort will showcase their startups and share the progress they’ve made in UD’s premier startup pre-accelerator. The University of Delaware has been awarded a $699,258 Institutional Impact Grant from the Educating Character Initiative (ECI), part of the Program for Leadership and Character at Wake Forest University to launch a three-year, university-wide initiative focused on character development. The project, University of Delaware Coalition on Character Development: Advancing Flagship State Institutional Leadership, will create a strategic plan to align and elevate character development efforts across academic and co-curricular settings.

Nineteen teams have been selected for Horn Entrepreneurship’s 2025 Summer Founders pre-accelerator program. This intensive 10-week experience gives University of Delaware students and recent graduates the opportunity to build their ventures full time with the support of resources, mentorship, and funding.
